Our Ministries

For more than 80 years God has inspired the leadership of Child Evangelism Fellowship toward development of a number of unique ministries, which have proven to be effective tools in our effort to evangelize and disciple children.

Good News Clubs®

A Good News Club is a high-powered 60 or 90-minute program for children ages 5 through 12, that inspires and challenges them to good citizenship, high moral values, obedience to those in authority and other positive behaviors. The program is built around biblical and educational principles and includes an exciting, visualized Bible lesson, songs, Scripture memory, a mission story and review games. Dynamic methods of teaching that make learning fun are used! Each club includes a clear presentation of the Gospel and an opportunity for children to trust Jesus as Savior. Every club also includes strong discipleship training to build character and strengthen moral and spiritual growth. All children are encouraged to attend a local church. CEF also offers Good News Clubs for preschoolers.

Over 4,000 Good News Clubs are being held in public elementary schools across the USA.  Good News Clubs are also held in homes, community centers, day care centers, churches, and apartment complexes; just about anywhere the children can easily and safely meet with their parent’s permission.

Can we really teach the Bible in public schools in the USA?

Yes! On June 11, 2001, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in Good News Club v. Milford Central School, 533 U.S. 98 (2001) that Good News Clubs can meet in public schools in the United States after school hours on the same terms as other community groups. This historic decision opened the doors of our public schools as a new mission field to teach God’s Word to thousands of children who would never hear about Jesus. What an opportunity! After School Good News Clubs meet once a week during the school year for 60 or 90 minutes. Children attend Good News Club only with their parents’ permission.

Good News Clubs are led by a competent team of Christians of various ages who volunteer their time and energy to teach children simply because they love children and desire that they come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and grow in Him. Volunteers are trained by Child Evangelism Fellowship to provide an exciting and informative club so that children will want to attend regularly. All team members sign the Child Evangelism Fellowship Statement of Faith and agree to abide by the policies of the organization. Those working within the program are screened according to the organization’s Child Protection Policy.

5-Day Clubs®

A 5-Day Club is held during the summer months for 60 or 90 minutes for five consecutive days.  These clubs are traditionally conducted by teams of young people from the ages of 14 and up who receive two weeks of training (one week of specialized classroom instruction and one week of practical hands-on training) and serve the Lord from three to five weeks as Summer Missionaries. All Summer Missionaries and other team members sign the Child Evangelism Fellowship Statement of Faith and are screened according to the organization’s Child Protection Policy.  Once trained and screened, our Summer Missionaries are then equipped to lead action-packed 5-Day Clubs, delivering the timeless truths of the Bible to children in exciting, engaging ways.

A 5-Day Club includes a dynamic Bible lesson, meaningful songs, life-changing Scripture memorization, an exciting mission story and  creative learning activities for children.  At least three clubs are held per day in backyards, community centers, day care centers, and parks — anywhere children can gather; outreach can take place in at least 15 different locations over a 5-week period.  CEF also offers 5-Day Clubs for preschoolers. Outreach Events

Child Evangelism Fellowship partners with various churches to conduct outreach activities at festivals, fairs and other community venues.  Volunteers share the Gospel to children using the Wordless Book, Meet the King booklets, Gospel bead bracelets, Gospel Flipper Flapper, Gospel Cube, and other Gospel tools.

If you would like to schedule a Party Club for the children in your church or community, CEF would be happy to support you with your event by providing teachers, teaching materials, and volunteers.

Party Clubs

Children love to be invited to parties. Even more, they love to bring their friends.  Games, treats, activities … CEF Party Clubs incorporate all this fun.  But what makes a CEF Party Club unique is the presentation of a clear Gospel message wrapped in a theme-based story or lesson.

Party clubs are an excellent way for churches to initiate outreach to children and their families. We offer holiday-themed clubs like Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving and Valentine’s Day, which are perfect times to invite the children in your community to a party!
